Community Involvement

Raising Funds & Raising Hope

Ask Linda Pet Sitting gives back to the community by participating in fund raising efforts to support local rescue groups.

Presents 4 Pets annual campaign sponsored by NAPPS.  I have been active since 2011 in doing donation events to collect food and supplies needed by local rescue groups.  In 2016 the receiving group is Tails and Trails Rescue in Greenwood.  I thank PetValu on 86th Street for letting me set up in their store and all my clients who donated unused leashes, collars and harnesses.

I  donate to the Petco Foundation and the ongoing food drive at the Michigan Rd Petco store.

I donate 4 flocks of chicks every year to Heifer International.

I donate money for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner at the Wheeler Mission, and buy dozens of wool socks from Costco every winter to donate to them.

I am a sustainable giver for WFYI radio and TV.  The radio is a life saver for me on the weekends when I am in my car for long hours.  I play the radio for pets I am watching too, and choose WFYI because it is just people talking; no screaming, and no loud music.  I truly believe it is a comfort to them.

I volunteer at the Crooked Creek Food Pantry .
